Fallow Buck Hunting

Fallow deer were first bought into New Zealand from England in 1864 and soon adapted well to the fringes of New Zealand’s native forests. They are very territorial animals and will live in the same area all their lives.

The Fallow bucks are very aggressive in the roar (rut) and you frequently see fallow with broken antlers from fighting. They’re also playful, with rush bushes and small trees thrashed by energetic Fallow.

As Fallow have no predators, except man, they continue to flourish in New Zealand. With great breeding, they are an excellent trophy animal to acquire.
